Florin Bag Free Crochet Pattern
Florin Bag Free Crochet Pattern
The Florin Bag is a design that came from a little spark of curiosity and creativity. I’ve always loved how shapes in crochet can come together in clever ways, and when I noticed how neatly hexagons fit to form a bag, I had to give it a try. This design uses seven hexagons in DK yarn with a 4mm hook, making it simple, quick, and fun to put together.
I wanted to create a small bag that wasn’t just suitable for kids—something playful yet practical with a design that would appeal to adults too. It’s just the right size for the essentials, and since you can make the strap as long as you like, you can make it into a handbag, shoulder bag, or even a crossbody. It’s also a wonderful project to experiment with colour, whether you prefer a bold mix or a softer palette.
Use any DK weight yarn to customise your colours and create something beautifully unique. The Florin Bag is perfect as a gift or make one for yourself and the best part is that the pattern is completely free!
