I enjoyed using 4 ply yarn for a change so much when designing the Sea Spray Shawl that I certainly wanted another 4 ply shawl project. I particularly loved working with the Scheepjes Whirl yarn so I bought another ball and designed the Delta Shawl Crochet Pattern.
The Delta Shawl Crochet Pattern is a simple pattern, it is absolutely a great pattern for a beginner to try something a bit more challenging and an enjoyable relaxing project for a seasoned crocheter.
The Delta Shawl is a lightweight, triangular wrap made with soft 4ply (fingering weight) yarn and a 3.5mm crochet hook. It’s ideal for layering over your summer outfit for extra warmth on cooler days or evenings. The name design is made up of little triangles which give it its name.
The Delta Shawl’s triangular shape means you can style it in several ways – wrap it around your shoulders, drape around your neck, use it as a scarf or tie around your waist.
This is also a lovely project to gift to someone special.

This is an advanced beginner pattern, perfect for beginner crocheters ready for a challenge and are ready to explore new stitch patterns. The Delta Shawl crochet pattern whilst only using sc, dc and chain stitches creates an effective pattern.
The pattern begins with a magic circle at the point and then works in rows, increasing stitches each row so you can make the shawl as large or small as you wish. The pattern includes clear written instructions and stitch counts to keep you on track.
